WHAT I AM PROUD OF

Okay I just wanted to share what I'm really proud of so  far in my life and I hope I will inspire you. Lets get to it
Im currently in my attachment year and I would love to give a brief background on how i struggled to look for attachment.

When I was looking for attachment I had applications that did not have any responses and I tried to be positive at first because I had the mindset that its not the end of the world. As time passed my confidence was low and it was hard  for me to stay positive because my friends were attached to different media organisations. I reached a point when I felt like journalism and media is not for me until a mentorship programme knocked on my door.

I was selected together with other colleagues to be part of a mentorship programme that focused on equipping us with journalism skills. At first I felt swallowed because my colleagues were three steps ahead and in my own world I thought I was "the shit". Well with that in my mind I started working on myself and yes I got to learn things at a faster rate. I did my first documentary without having any experience with cameras and I was excited because for the first time I felt proud,  I felt victory, I felt like I'm someone in life.

In 4 months we were now known as Womens voice
zimbabwe and we were the co founders of womens voice zimbabwe....and gosh it feels good to own something. Basically womens voice zimbabwe we report on womens issues and achievements ( for more details you can email me)
I never imagined myself being the co founder of something in my attachment year and i feel proud...like if people ask me about where I work im like:
"Hey my name is Nicole Kurebwaseka and I'm a co founder of womensvoicezw, im the visual and technical director."

My piece of advice is:
Believe in yourself and conquer
Don't try so hard to please people who don't built you
